AN IDEA, NOT A FINISHED TRACK
A focused sketchbook for a production session. The motif-based engine runs in your browser, with no text prompt or audio upload. Your instrument, arrangement and taste finish the work.

Lock a phrase before generating again. Its notes, timing and harmony stay fixed. Compare the previous take and restore it in one click. Use “New melody, same chords” to keep the whole progression.
Download both parts as a Type-1 MIDI file or export each separately. Import into your MIDI-capable DAW, assign instruments and check the tempo and notes. MIDI does not include the preview sound.
A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
The exact displayed note events, their velocity and duration, a tempo event, 4/4 time signature and a 480-tick-per-beat timeline. Chords and melody use separate named tracks. MIDI contains notes, not audio; there is no MP3 or WAV export. Assign your own instrument after import.
The downloads are Standard MIDI Files, intended for import into MIDI-capable DAWs such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live and FL Studio. Choose an instrument for each part and check the imported tempo and notes in your session. Browser export checks do not establish compatibility with every DAW version or judge how your chosen instruments sound.
Choose a root note with a major or natural-minor scale, an integer tempo from 60 to 180 BPM, and either 4 or 8 bars in 4/4. An eight-bar take spans 32 beats; at 120 BPM, that is 16 seconds. Other meters, swing, changing tempo maps and whole-song arrangements are outside this version.
No. It is a focused browser adaptation of our own motif-composition and compact chord-voicing algorithms. It does not call a generative AI service, copy a commercial MIDI collection, or include the desktop app’s full harmonic engine and arrangement system. Musical preference has not been established by a listening study; treat each result as a sketch to audition and edit.
Each two-bar lock keeps that region’s melody and chord events unchanged. Key, scale and length are held while locks are on. The rest of the melody can be regenerated. To start with entirely new settings, release the locks first.
No compositions are uploaded. This studio makes no composition or analytics requests. Up to eight kept takes are stored in this browser only when you choose “Keep take”; clearing browser data can remove them. Choose “Save session” for an editable JSON backup on your device, and “Open a saved session” to restore it. Session imports are limited to 256 KiB.
Sound is off every time the page opens. Choose “Sound off” to enable preview, then press Play. There is no automatic playback. The built-in synthesizer is a neutral reference, not a finished production sound. You can download MIDI without enabling sound.
Not in this version. “Open a saved session” accepts FastTool MIDI Studio session JSON, not MIDI or audio files. Generated MIDI can be edited in your own DAW. To trim an existing recording instead, use the Audio Cutter below.
