THREE PRACTICAL STARTING POINTS
From a useful idea to a file you can share
A link on a flyer
- Choose URL and enter the exact public page you want people to open. The sample points to FastTool, not your website.
- Generate, then download SVG to place in the flyer without blurring the square modules.
- Print one copy at the final size, scan it and check the page opens correctly. The digital tests do not check whether the website is available.
A guest WiFi card
- Choose WiFi and try the guest sample to see the format. Its network and password are fictional.
- Replace them with your guest-network details, generate and download. The file contains those credentials; do not post a private-network QR publicly.
- Scan with a guest device and confirm that it connects. If the password changes, generate a new QR.
A short equipment label
- Choose Text. Enter a short note, such as
Tripod A — return to shelf 3, or try the multilingual sample. - Generate and download PNG for a fixed-size document, or SVG for a layout that will be resized.
- Scan the final label and confirm the note is intact. Keep text short: longer text creates a denser code that can need more print space.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
A generator that tries to break its own work
Both downloadable files are reopened locally and decoded before export. Separately, five transformed rasters test a bounded digital print profile. The optional receipt binds that profile and export hashes; it is not a physical-print certificate or the separate file read-back report.
Generate a standards-shaped QR with a locked four-module quiet zone.
Model dots per module from final millimetres and printer DPI.
Decode original, downsampled, blurred, perspective-shifted and damaged variants.
Export SVG, PNG, CSV, JSON, Markdown, visual board and hash-backed receipt.
STATIC QR · NO EXPIRY SWITCH
A static QR code does not expire on its own
FastTool encodes your URL, text or WiFi details directly into a static QR. There is no FastTool redirect, account or subscription that can switch it off later. A URL QR can still stop working if the destination moves or goes offline; a WiFi QR stops matching when the network name, security type or password changes.
WiFi QR without an account
Choose WiFi, enter the network name and security details, and generate locally. The QR necessarily contains those details, so treat the exported file like the password it encodes and share it only with the intended audience.
SVG FOR PRINT
Use SVG as the scalable print master
SVG preserves the square QR modules as vector shapes when a designer or print shop resizes the artwork. PNG is useful for screen layouts and fixed-size documents. In either format, keep the white quiet zone clear and avoid stretching, cropping or placing graphics over the code.
Print a sheet of guest WiFi cards or equipment labels
After a passing result, open Print multiple QR labels on one sheet. Choose A4 or US Letter and the number of identical copies. At 35 mm, an A4 sheet holds 24 unlabelled QR codes, or 20 with a short label. If they do not fit, FastTool tells you the capacity without silently reducing their size. Print the SVG at 100% / Actual size, measure the 100 mm ruler and scan a final cut label. These are cut-your-own sheets, not templates for pre-cut label stock.

HONEST METHOD
Digital preflight, not a physical guarantee
PASS proves only this deterministic digital test profile. It does not verify a printer, paper, ink, lamination, curvature, lighting, camera, scanner app or final placement. Always proof-print at the final size and test with multiple real devices.
